Job Description:

The Logistics setup is an important part of the Milaha Group. It currently employs more than 700 logistics staffs in offices in Qatar and Dubai, and is looking to further expand. To leverage on Logistics business opportunities across the diversified Milaha Group, optimize the logistics business further and drive expansion within the region, we look for a strong leader with an international profile.

Objective:

Provide leadership, guidance and direction to ensure effective supervision of the Logistics department ensuring that all services, such as warehouse management, land transportation and freight forwarding, provided by the company to internal and external clients are efficient, prompt and in line with Milaha policies, procedures and business goals.

Accountabilities:

• Logistics Systems development, implementation, improving and expanding logistics related services.
• Commercial drive and providing continues analysis of client needs and recommendations.
• Enhance on-going performance monitoring and evaluation to ensure that logistics goals and objectives are achieved.
• Excellent communication skills across multiple stakeholders as well as good interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to work in a culturally diverse organization.
• Ensures all needs for logistics operations are identified, assessed and fulfilled and that all activities are performed in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
• Adherence to HSSEQ regulations and policies

Skills:

• Significant experience within all aspects of 3PL.
• Process Management/Lean understanding and ideally formal Process Management training such as Green Belt certification.
• Excellent communication skills across multiple stakeholders as well as good interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to work in a culturally diverse organization.
• Hands-on leader who is results oriented with a strong drive and high ethic.
• 12-15 years’ experience in logistics, warehousing, land transport and freight forwarding operations, in which 5 years in managerial role. GCC experience will be an advantage.
