The RoleThe RoleVP-Operations A large local family group is looking to recruit for VP-Operations for their Food products based in Dubai. You will be responsible for the operational services of Foods, Plants involved in flour mill, edible oil refining, Oil seeds crushing, Legumes processing and Grain terminals. This also includes the organizational structure, assets, operating budgets, CAPEX, with the objective of growth and profitability as well as day-to-day leadership and management. Responsibilities: Participate in the strategic development and drive the initiatives. Evaluate and recommend new projects to the management. Drive the CAPEX projects to ensure timely and profitable deliveries Set and control the operating budgets and drive the optimization of costs in line with approved budgets. Approves Improvement of quality of the service by enforcing best practices by identifying new/needed skills, processes, or methods. Implementation of productivity/quality metrics and develop incentive programs designed to minimize costs and enhance efficiency. Develop operational goals for each type of service which are stretched, yet obtainable, and tied to long-term goals and profitability of the company. Monitor the implementation of HSE procedures are in line with the recommendations of the HSE Manager and drive safety policy through the department. Contingency planning to have continuity of operations/ business Selection of resources, processes, plant & equipment. Regular communication and weekly meetings with CEO and other VP's |
RequirementsRequirementsQualifications: Graduate Engineer in any engineering discipline with an additional qualification of MBA in operations Management. Professional accreditation of major Industrial Organizations/ Associations. Has managed an operation budgets in excess of USD 100 million Has very good communication skills High skills in industrial food processing plants Competency in Safety and Environment procedures |
