Variation Administrator - Change Control - MEGA Airport Development

Job description / Role

The role is to work with a major client on the Midfield Terminal Project in Abu Dhabi, and work as part of the JV team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Report to Variations Manager;
Manage a change control timesheet system to determine human cost of implementing Employers Variations through BIM, Engineering, Shop Drawings, commercial, both in Main and Sub-Contract organisations;
Liaise with Variation Manager in monitoring timesheet costs against Variation references;
Appraise, assemble and present change control cost for submission to the Engineer;
Assess change control costs with BIM and Engineering managers to determine if change costs are realistic;
Liaise with subcontractors for correct implementation of the change control timesheet system, provide training and supervision if required, assess timesheet output for realistic results;
Recommend actions to resolve timesheet discrepancies.
Track and report timesheet discrepancies;
Work to deadlines set by the Variations Manager.

Profile :
Male/Female 25+
Competent Excel and data base user
Excellent English skills
Team player
Able to communicate and integrate in a multidisciplinary, multicultural and multinational environment

Qualifications and Experience:
Engineering, Quantity Surveying or business related field qualification;
A minimum of 5 years experience in an administration role in finance, engineering or QS department on construction projects.

Specific skills required:
Excellent English oral and written communication skills are essential;
Ability to work effectively with all members of a multidisciplinary, multicultural and multinational environment within the Contractor team;
Major building project site based experience preferred;
Ability to operate under a degree of autonomy.
