Vehicle Inspection Manager
Summary: Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in registering and inspecting for registration of public transport equipment and assets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Establishes policies for inspection,
• registrations, and
• status quota of buses and taxis;
• schedules annual inspection activities and registration tasks;
• assigns and directs activities of registration and inspection of vehicles and buses; and
• Follows up on registration issues.
• Consults with officials on new registration and operational requirements.
• Contracts for outsourcing inspection services not performed in shop.
Manages four subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 5000 registration activities per annum Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience :
Bachelors degree (industrial/mechanical/automotive.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills :
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills :
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability :
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills :
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software; Order processing systems; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
