Vendor Manager

Job description / Role

Sourcing & Vendor Management (SVM) sources external goods and services for the Organization by applying best practices while mitigating key commercial, contractual and reputational risks

Key Responsibilities
- Liaison with Suppliers and contractors and work on Competitive Pricing
- Monitor Delivery Arrangements and Stock Management
- Ensure new vendors are identified based on the new products / technology / cost effective / speed of delivery / etc
- Negotiating and Handling vendors during project or operational issues from vendors

Operational Responsibilities
- Own and oversee the enhanced reporting/ templates and score card for the initial orders of key vendors and develop /identify of next level of ordering
- Lead the deployment and improvement of consistent Vendor Management processes with market intelligence
- Engage with key stakeholders both within SVM as well as maintain the relationship with the OEMs / Vendors / Sub-contractors
- Liaise with key senior management stakeholders
- Help to define and interpret the analytics to support the sourcing strategy
- Ensure to develop multiple track reports for smooth sourcing (Expediting report, Logistics report, Material management report)

Requirements

- Undergraduate degree
- 4+ years of leadership experience required including oversight of direct reports within sourcing and/or procurement
- 5+ years of global sourcing and/or procurement experience
- Strong team-orientation and interpersonal skills
- Strong influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills
- Experience with procurement systems and relevant technologies
- Effective communicator both written and oral
- Motivated individual with the ability to learn quickly and maintain flexibility
- Demonstrated process focus and problem solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
