Venues Operations Executive

Job description / Role

The Venue Operations Executive is a key member of the Sports Business and Entertainment Unit, that provides management, coordination, integration,
planning, development and operations support for the respective venues owned and operated by Dubai Sports City.

The main responsibilities of this role are:

Liaise with Event Team and end users to ensure stadium and venue readiness.

1) Asset Management

a) Develop Policy Guidelines and Procedures and ensure implementation.
b) Maintain and control all immovable & movable assets
c) Ensure proper and diligent control on all asset movement
d) Maintain and regularly update the Asset Register
e) Undertake regular spot checks on all assets
f) Manage stadium users with regard to stadium assets
g) Ensure facilities and assets are secure

II. Venue Management

1. Co-ordinate closely with the Event Team, end users, suppliers and contractors to plan, manage and ensure implementation of all venue requirements for an event
2. Implement all Safety and Security Plans for the event
3. Mobilize and account for all assets applied to the event
4. Site planning and management of all temporary overlay
5. Mobilize all services for the event
6. Develop, co-ordinate and manage with Event Manager all operational planning and adherence to timelines
7. Be the point of contact for Governmental agencies with regard to stadium requirements for the event.
8. Precinct planning and layout management for police, service providers, civil defence

During the Event Games Period, He/She will be responsible for managing all logistics planning in relation to venue and precinct with the requirement:

• To work closely with staff and volunteers within Venue Operations to ensure appropriate venue management, scheduling changes and
amendments, related coordination and integration activity during the
Games.
To work with staff, and Sport, Athletes, Teams and Medical Services volunteers in ensuring appropriate equipment availability, processing of request, venue operations, related coordination and integration activities during the Games.
• To liaise regularly with Events Manager, and all relevant parties related to problem solving, issues and concerns, opportunities and related considerations.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be available immediately, be very systematic and organised. Take full control and management of all venues and will have strong eye for commercial opportunities. He/She will be able to negotiate effectively and take a strong stance when required.

A driving license and strong database skills are also a requirement of this role. Candidates may apply online.
