The RoleThe Role- Willing to be under call 24hr/week - Will work very closely & in a collaborative way with the livestock extension unit - Willing and able to work with different nationalities - Willing to implement the work by himself - Willing to be trained in different livestock topics to build his capacity, this training includes hands’ on activities such as hoof trimming. - Willing to train his staff & farm workers in their farms or by arranging group training in different topics of livestock (housing, nutrition, breeding, housing, hoof trimming etc.) - Responsible from a team working under his management - Report to the veterinary services unit - Responsible for a number of a livestock farms/ Eizab signing the small ruminant prophylactic contract - Advise the farm owner immediately & directly about any mismanage or none willing of the farm workers for his advice - Preferably with UAE driving license or GCC driving license - Preferably with good knowledge in computer programs - Willing to respect UAE culture & the culture of the other nationalities in his team |
RequirementsRequirements- With Bachelor degree at least in veterinary medicine - Graduate from reputable university - With eight to ten years of hands’ on experience at least - Most of his experience in animal health (veterinary clinics, vaccination programs) - With very good knowledge in animal production, nutrition, breeding, housing, farm management etc. - With very good knowledge and experience in extension - Proactive , initiative, and willing to work under any condition - With knowledge about Good Livestock Practices - Language skills: Arabic speaker with good knowledge of English language |
About the CompanyAbout the CompanyThe Farmers’ Services Centre (FSC) is a newly formed organisation operating in the emirate of Abu Dhabi specialising in the provision of farmer support services and the marketing of farm produce. We work with local farmers in Al Gharbia (Western Region) to improve farming practices leading to higher production levels, better quality crops, and greater environmental outcomes. We also work with retailers and large corporate and government customers to provide them with a secure supply of quality produce. Essentially, we provide a full suite of services – from farm to market – and in this way, the FSC is developing sustainable agriculture for Abu Dhabi. |
