Veterinary Assistant

Job description / Role

• Providing care for animals in a compassionate manner
• Having a happy, helpful, and professional attitude towards pet owners
• Helping in restraining animals for vets and vet technicians
• Conducting or assisting in simple lab tests, filing reports, and completing necessary lab forms
• Monitoring and organizing information of animal clients
• Collecting and monitoring animal samples
• keeping track, recording, and reporting vital signs of stay-in/boarded/hospitalized/under observation animals
• Cleaning and sanitizing the all animal facility areas including labs, treatment rooms, exam rooms, isolation rooms, cages, veterinarian’s office, bathrooms, lounges, and reception areas
• Providing clean food, water, and beddings for animals
• Exercising stay-in animals whenever required
• bathing animals
• Receiving animals and placing them in proper areas
• Getting animals ready for discharge
• Restocking food and other pet supplies as needed
• Doing laundry and cleaning and sanitizing dishes of animals
• Carrying out related tasks whenever require

Requirements

• Certified Vet Assistant
• Working experience in the field is a plus
• Good Command of English
• Good Interpersonal Skills
• A can do attitude
• Hard working and determined
• Professional attitude with Pet Owners
• Willing to relocate
