Vice President Finance - Subsidiaries - Qatar Airways - Doha
Due to the successful growth of Qatar Airways Group, a senior position has become available for an experienced Finance professional to join our Head Office in Doha, Qatar.
As Vice President Finance - Subsidiaries, you will be responsible for the preparation of financial and strategic planning, monitoring variances against the budget, evaluating opportunities/risks and implementation of cost controls for the airlines Subsidiaries and overhead divisions.
As a senior leader and decision maker, you will be responsible for supporting the team in the delivery of value added and insightful reporting and analysis for senior management up to GCEO level of all projects undertaken by Qatar Airways (non-airline related).
Part of your role as a senior leader will be to establish the department or teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business goals. You will regularly evaluate the department or team plans, procedures and practices, and make appropriate changes if required.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you will have a Bachelor Degree and be a qualified accountant. Preference will be given to those who have a Masters Degree or equivalent.
You will have a minimum of 10 years job related working experience, with a strong Executive Management background. You will have a proven track record in customer centric markets and experience within complex, global and high growth organisations. Having experience in planning and analysis with strong analytical skills and the ability to review variances whilst understanding business cycle and their impact on profit and loss, will be essential in this role.
Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must, as is the ability to work effectively across the organisation in a highly multi-cultured environment.
