Visual Design Lecturer

Job description / Role

This leading HE institute in Bahrain has retained m2r Ltd to supply Visual Design Lecturers for the 2014/2015 academic year.

They need designers within the following fields of specialisations:
- Graphic Design
- Package Design
- Arabic and Western Typography
- 3D Modelling (Maya)
- Animation
- Type Design
- Interactive Design
- User Experience
- Web and Interactive Design
- Advertising
- Information Architecture
- Illustration
- Motion Graphics

You will teach degree level core computer practical courses using Adobe software on a Mac platform, as well as degree level core courses in design principles, design theory, critical thinking, image creation, colour theory, typography, print production, layout principles and graphic design.

Requirements

Opportunities are open to male and female candidates of all nationalities, providing you meet the minimum criteria below:

- Bachelor's degree within a related field is essential; A Postgraduate qualification is preferred (and essential for teaching on degree programmes)
- Experience in one of the following fields of graphic design (communication design, visual design), advertising, time based media, animation, illustration, typography.
- Teaching experience or significant industry experience is essential.
- 2 years related teaching experience to adults and 5yrs mid-level designer experience is essential.
- Middle East experience required
- The ability to facilitate small and large groups and work across programme delivery teams
- Membership of relevant professional organisations is preferred
