Employment: Full Time

This position is responsible in ensuring that the visual merchandising concept is implemented and executed according to Brand Standards and across all markets. The position will manage visual merchandising requirements across all GCC and manages a team of visual merchandisers.

Role Responsibilities:

Operations and Development
- Promote positive brand image through effective visual merchandising maximizing profit and sales.
- Development of timely merchandising principles and guidelines for the seasonal/ monthly creative concepts for window and in store merchandising.
- Ensure conceptualize windows in line with Brand requirements and local events.
- Liaise with Retail Operations and Marketing for development and production of material needed for visual merchandising.
- Maintain Brand visual merchandising hand book in line with Brands guidelines and product innovation and issue visual procedures specific to each Territory.
- Provide feedback to Projects for developing new store lay outs.
- Manage Store Openings and Critical Path Management through the ordering, tracking and execution of the VM.
- Liaise with Merchandising during buying process to build consistency within collection.
- To negotiate rates and source suppliers whilst managing the VM budget on behalf on the Retail Director and provide monthly updates on expenditure against budget.
- Focus on being a Sales Driven, Brand Focused, Cost Sensitive organization
- To recruit, lead and develop a visual team to deliver internationally outstanding and consistent visual standards across each Territory, which is visually exciting to the customers.
- Ensuring regular communication and PDPs take place for all line staff and any training or developmental needs are identified and addressed, whilst encouraging involvement and individual contribution.
- To implement guidelines for events and seasonal launches.

Training and Feedback
- Organize continuous communication with Visual Merchandisers to make creative concepts understood by establishing clear standards, giving coaching and regular feedback.
- Train and supervise Visual Merchandisers continuously to ensure adherence to quality standards, time.
- Ensure communication flow with Retail Operations on feed back of effectiveness.
- Coach/ guide the store personnel about the importance of visual merchandising, layout and space awareness.
- Developing total ownership in Store Managers for the VM Standards of their Store.
- Development needs identified through a Healthcheck process to Action Plans implemented to meet those needs.

Brand Adherence
- To visit all stores/ concessions on a regular basis in order to ensure that the Brand concept is being correctly implemented and communicated.
- To ensure a Model Store for each Brand executes the standard expected for each monthly/seasonal launch and ensure replication across stores.
- Ensure that all stores/ concessions receive all visual communication and POS material.
- Implement changes to the window and internal displays of stores/ concessions across MAF Fashion.
- Ensure that correct in-store signage, in line with Brand guidelines and marketing, is suitable for forthcoming event or launch.
- Responsibility for the overall impact of promotional schemes in the Territorys.\

Brand Marketing
- Research on trends in visual displays and merchandising techniques in the region and international markets and propose innovative ideas to ensure brand presence is in line with international standards.
- Research on material available in the region, source quality and cost effective providers to meet requirements in a timely and effective manner.
- Research to create an enhanced visual awareness of a new product at the time of its launch through Mall Podiums, mega posters using branded logos, in-store merchandising and decorative window displays with the aim of capturing the customers attention.
- To work with the Marketing department to exploit all marketing opportunities (Strategic and Tactical) supporting and recommending the best use of marketing budgets.
- Monitor local competition and promotional activities to suggest new and innovative methods to drive sales and Brand Awareness.

Key Performance Indicator:
- Sales Budget
- Implementing visual merchandising strategy within allocated budget and provide monthly updates.
- To establish a Health-check (Audit) process which measures a stores performance in Visual Merchandising
- Adherence to Delegation of Authorities.
- Mystery shopper results
- Customer Feedback
- Keep abreast with up to date details on visual merchandising policies followed by Principal.

Requirements

- Proven track record of 6 - 8 years experience in visual merchandising with a demonstrated ability to translate commercial requirements into visual merchandising within brand guidelines.
- Work experience with international Principals.
- Excellent knowledge of Fashion Industry and Fashion trends within the region.
- Current Drivers License.

The agreement is to develop Hollister and Abercrombie & Fitchs presence within the UAE, further supporting the brands international growth. As Abercrombie & Fitch Co.s first physical foray into the Middle East, the landmark joint venture partnership with Majid Al Futtaim Fashion should significantly broaden A&Fs regional potential across the GCC, further adding to the regions offering of exceptional market leading international brands.
