WWTW Business Development Director

Our Client is a global pump manufacturer for the transports, treatment, testing and efficient water usage by the public government authorities, utility providers, commercial and residential building services, industrial and agricultural companies.

They operate out five continents through a number of market leading brands, headquarters in the USA, with revenues of $4 billion and 12,500 employees worldwide.

Due to the imminent retirement of the present director, we are recruiting for a Business Development Director for the water, wastewater, sewage treatment business.

The MENA region Business Development Director is responsible for driving local business development in the MENA key markets;

Supporting the selling of all products, applications, solutions and services covered by the companys brands and products portfolio for Water and Wastewater Treatment in general, and for selling multi-brand and integrated solutions in particular with focus on early consultative selling activities.

The Business Development Director manages the WWTW Business Development Managers located in key markets. Served markets and applications are W&WW treatment for public utility and industrial sites.

The two key responsibilities of the BDD are:
- Organize and lead the water / waste water treatment (in-country) Business Development team located in key markets
- Lead and coordinate all external and internal contacts and actions with identifying, promoting and supporting the selling of products and integrated process and multi-brand solutions in the most efficient way for the execution of the Treatment Strategic plan and towards achieving Operating targets and Budget goals in line with the overall Strategic plan of the Treatment Commercial Team and of the Treatment Department.

Requirements

- Minimum of 10 years international experience in the water / wastewater field with experience of team management, business development and/or sales & marketing, preferably within a consultant, end-user or engineering company
- Minimum of 5 years exposure to the water / wastewater market in the MENA region.
- Qualified with a degree in management / engineering with a sound experience of related equipment and processes for the treatment of water / wastewater engineering and selling aptitude, strong business acumen
- Good understanding of financial metrics and reporting experience.
- Water and Waste Water Treatment process skills and market knowledge essential
- International business experience and demonstrated team management skills required.
- Fluent in English both spoken and written
- Proficiency in other languages such as Arabic and/or French is an advantage.
- PMI Project management Professional accreditation or similar is desirable.
- Demonstrated skills in communicating with stakeholders in an international company in a matrix sales / product organization and in networking with external influencers and clients.
- Excellent communication and team-working skills with a supportive, transparent and cooperative mid-set towards internal team coworkers and peers in a matrix environment.
