Warehouse Manager

Job description / Role

The Warehouse Manager would be in charge of receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. Standards should be in compliance with state and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements obtained by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

This individual would safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. Such tasks include controlling inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system and maintaining physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.

The Warehouse Manager would also manage financial objectives by preparing an annual budget. In addition he would be responsible for complete warehouse operation requirements by recruiting, selecting, training, scheduling and assigning staff.

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years experience in Middle Management and/or Warehousing Management
- Qualification in Warehousing/Purchasing/Procurement or equivalent
- Sound knowledge in a Warehousing environment
- Experience using at least one of the ERP Iscala and BPCS is a great plus
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft package, Internet)
- People management skills
- Self driven, ambitious and motivated
- Be 100% focused on customer service
