Job description / Role
The Warehouse Operative is responsible for processing the inventory by receiving, counting, recording, and identifying items in and out of the warehouse, and checking the inventory against invoices, bills of laden, records damaged or defective items, in addition to updating other administrative data and preparing orders.
Main Responsibilities include:
- Offload, checking, and store all incoming consignments
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas
- Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment
- Picking and packing for all outgoing orders, ensuring the required goods are picked from the designated locations and packed as per customer requirement
- Dispatch; check all goods to be against the dispatch documentation and ensure loading onto vehicle
- Ensure accurate stock replenishment
- Scan, cello wrap, pin code, label or execute any other method for product handling as per requirement
- Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors
- Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors
- Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage workers
Requirements
- High-school graduate
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Warehouse Management (Inbound/Outbound/Inventory), preferably in retail
- Can handle pressure
- Well versed with WMS
- Physically fit and energetic
- Accuracy and attention to details
- Valid UAE Driver's License is a plus
