Warehouse Supervisor

Job description / Role

- Manage and control the all activities of the warehouses
- Responsible for accurate receipt and warehousing of product as per company standard
- Ensure product is properly entered into the inventory system and slotted efficiently.
- Proactive communication to internal contacts regarding warehouse processes which impact customers and transportation to promote the smooth flow of materials into production
- Maximize warehouse space and ensure efficient product slotting.
- Establish and implement operational policies and procedures including but not limited to production, receiving, routing, inventory, and transportation as it relates to the warehouse.
- Responsible for maintaining high standards related to the physical condition of warehouse and equipment.
Responsible for ensuring that Tools and other equipments (moisture meter, weighting scale, hand tools, etc) are properly maintained in good and safe conditions at all times.
- Responsible for controlling the consumable items, ensuring that the minimum stock is available.
- Suggest & Implement new processes to increase efficiencies while reducing costs.
- Responsible to ensure that FSC and Fire Rated door standard operations are strictly complied
- Responsible for the development and training Warehouse keepers, including FSC & Fire Rated -Door operations process and procedures.
- Proactive thinker in matters related to planning the daily and the weekly material level to ensure that the production activities are not hindered
- Supervising the Warehouse staff, ensuring the proper workflow and the applicability of the Warehouse processes.
Establishing, ensuring, and continuously monitoring of highest standard of safe work practices for all Warehouse activities and to complied with Health & Safety rules and ---Regulations as per company standard
- Establish on a yearly basis for the Warehouse dept: the Quality Objectives, the annual budget and the training plan in collaboration with the HR & Quality Manager.
- Manage in collaboration with the HR and Quality Mgr. the Warehouse department in terms of Human Resource: Recruiting, Initial training for new staff in the dept, performance management, Annual Leave plan
- Control of Departments records as per the QMS -Control of Records procedure.
Control the application of the Quality Management System within the Warehouse Department by maintaining the existing system and researching areas for improvement (Example: Recording and following up on Corrective and Preventive actions requests)

Requirements

- Education: College / Bachelor degree
Certification(s) / Training(s) Warehouse / inventory management
- Computer skill(s): Word, Excel, Outlook, SAP knowledge
- Equipment knowledge: n/a License for operating forklift
- Desired years of experience :3 to 5 years
