Warehouse & Yard Manager

Job description / Role

Marine Construction Company seeking an experienced warehouse/yard manager to run its warehouse, yard and production team. Role will entail managing the company's warehouse and yard including:

- Ensures smooth operation and layout of warehouse and yard.
- Oversees production of marine barriers and quality control.
- Certifies adequate HSE & hygiene in warehouse and yard.
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system.
- Handles incoming and outgoing deliveries (including project mobilization
- Maintains warehouse & yard staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

This is a new role for a young but growing company and there is potential to expand and grow the role. Preferred candidate should be experienced, motivated and independent and should show strong initiative. Must possess leadership skills and ability to manage staff. Manufacturing and/or machinery/mechanical experience would be an advantage.
