Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Ensure the cost effective and efficient functioning of 3S camp services at the various sites throughout the region. Manage waste; garbage and septic waste removal.

Ensure that the operation runs cost effectively whilst offering the highest standard of service to the client

• Supervise all the waste services operations as outlined in the standard operating procedures.
• Manage contracted clients with various services located in Afghanistan with sufficient and adequate staffing.
• Liaise with the client and attend any meetings that you are called to attend
• Complete Month end documentation, Invoice reconciliations etc.
• Ordering of Materials and that correct measures are used to perform the above tasks .
• Ensuring good hygiene practice and ensuring staff members are well trained to perform their duties.
• Ensuring all equipment and assets are used correctly during the performance of their duty throughout the daily operation.
• Reporting any anomalies to the Waste/Camp Services Manager.
• To ensure the maintenance and smooth running of vehicles on a daily basis.
• To carry out any other duties at the request of the Camp Services Manager.

Requirements

• Ability to work in an international, dynamic and multicultural environment.
• Knowledge in water and waste management.
• Ability to adapt to organizational change in a positive manner and to work under tight deadlines.
• Drivers License.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English are essential.
• Ability to motivate a team and be reliable and flexible.
• Ability to work under pressure and be accountable for your actions.
• Experienced PC User, familiar with MS Word and Excel, email and internet.
• Sound experience and knowledge of All Waste Services operations in remote areas with a minimum of one year experience in a Waste Mgt position.
• Supervisory experience of third world tradespersons, and the ability to motivate and enforce western work practices and standards.
