The RoleThe RoleFormal Qualification *BSc Eng , BTech Eng, B Eng *Pr Eng / Pr Tech Eng Registration *Professionally registered Experience *Minimum 8 years experience Job Description 1.Planning of Water projects: *Feasibility Studies *Options Analysis *Master Planning 2.Design of Water infrastructure, which may include inter alia: *Large Diameter Pipelines *Pump Stations *Water and Wastewater treatment facilities *Dams (Earthfill, Rockfill, Concrete) *Mining Water(Process, Distribution, Water Balance, Dewatering, Discharge) *Sludge and Slurry Handling *Interface with Mechanical/Electrical components *Compilation of Specifications (SANS 1200 & CoT formats) 3.Project Management *Project management experience (minimum of 5 years), preferably software development projects, with a good knowledge of PMBOK *Experience in business processes re-engineering Computer Competency Requirements *Working knowledge of computer scheduling programs, Microsoft Project as a minimum requirement *Experience of Primavera P6 will be an advantage *PSNext will be an advantage *Must be proficient in Microsoft Office *Management of design and construction processes *Client liaison *Reporting *Records *Scheduling 4.Supervision *Training and development of junior staff *Team supervision and co-ordination *Interface between design team and Project Directors Computer literacy (Not Compulsory but advantage) *GoldSIM *Inventor *Revit *AutoCAD Civil 3D *EPANET *EPA SWMM *HEC-RAS *MIKE 21 *Any CFD *Hammer or Pipe 2010 Languages (Written & Spoken) *English |
