Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a UAE Based well renowned & Leading ship builder and support contractor for all Naval, Military and Commercial Operators in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) needs the following personnel for permanent employment. Candidates for these positions must meet the following requirements:

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for performing planned Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) of all Platform Mechanic system and equipment onboard assigned vessels.

Perform the following to meet different maintenance activities on-board Weapon Systems Equipments:
- Execute PM and CM schedules as per the work order/job card for all on-board weapon equipment systems.
- Identify and report defects and abnormalities.
- Identify Spares.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma/ITI in Engineering or equivalent with 5 / 7 years marine/ naval / offshore experience in similar role.

Job-Specific knowledge and skills:
- Technical knowledge of ships.
- Knowledge of how to read and comprehend technical specifications, drawings and setting to work and test and trials procedures.
- Knowledge of ships operations and ship systems.
- Knowledge and hands on experience on maintenance of weapons like guns, missiles, torpedoes etc
- Knowledge of weapon hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Competencies required:
- General Electrical Safety
- Installation of and connection of specialist cabling
- Function Testing and sea Trials
- Should be conversant with Maintenance schedules, Technical Manuals and procedures.
- Should be able to trouble shoot the system; solve the technical issues related to various platform related systems.

Preference shall be given to candidates with hands on experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment onboard Marine/Naval ships.

4. Passport.
