Well Site Leader - Completion

Job description / Role

The position is a rotational position at BP Khazzan/Makarem site location, and reports to the Oman Well Intervention Team Leader.

The Completion Well Site Leader will be responsible for:
* Supervise installation of various well completion/intervention operations in accordance with the approved program and BP established practices and regulations.
* Work closely with BP Drilling Well Site Leader and Completion Engineer to optimize well completion, minimize non-productive time, and improve operations efficiency.
* Provide input to well completion design, completion and intervention programs and logistics planning.
* Leads service company completion and pre-job safety meetings to ensure good understanding of planned operation and associated risks.
* Participates in CWOP (Complete Well on Paper) workshops and meetings.
* Coordinates operations with the service companies and rig contractors and monitors performance.
* Organizes Pre-Job Safety Meeting (PJSM) and Tool Box Talks (TBT) with crews on rig site. * Maintains "7days Look-ahead" planning tool to communicate material and personnel requirements for well operations.
* Prepares operational End of Well Report (EoWR).
* Witnesses and sign offs on critical completion sub-assemblies make ups, function and pressure testing.
* Leads equipment failure investigation and recommends preventive measures for future applications.
* Captures and documents operational risks and assists in updating the risk register and develops mitigation plans.
* Compiles all well handover document (WHoD) along with Drilling Well Site Leader.
* Prepares in advance.
* Bottom Hole Assemblies (BHA) and tallies for every trip and maintains a completion operation work file, containing all BHA and documentation of completion operation carried out on rig site.
* Provides support to the Well Site Team in the preparation of open wells completion and operations reports.
* Collect learning's from ongoing operations in learning tracker and ensure incorporation to subsequent operations.
* Provides input to Completion After Action Reviews (AAR) and finalize key learning's and recommendations to completion engineer.

Requirements

* High (vocational) school or above Diploma.

* 10+ years of drilling and completions experience.

* Good command of English, both oral and written.
