The RoleThe RoleFor a well-established Steel Fabrication and Oil & Gas Services company, we are looking to recruit an experienced COO. Reporting in to the CEO, you will be leading the entire Operation Divisions and Teams, concentrating on core production, production support functions and HSE. Responsibilities will include overall fabrication yard management, strategic planning for business development, productivity improvement, production portfolio enhancement and yard development. There will also be a strong focus on HR issues and development. You will also be responsible for ISO and Balanced Scorecard compliance, MIS reporting and Continuous improvement of processes. You are required to successfully manage a team whilst having the vision and energy to drive operations. RequirementsRequirementsThe successful applicant will be a Western/European National, ideally aged 40-50 years. You will be fluent in English with excellent communication and leadership skills. Individuals with experience in the GCC are preferred. Candidates MUST have a Mechanical Engineering background. A qualification in a relevant discipline is preferable. You should have experience in and knowledge of the Oil & Gas, Steel Fabrication and/ or Marine industry. Experience with Pressure Equipment is highly desirable. Good knowledge of local and international Oil & Gas and Fabrication markets is a prerequisite. Experience in a Senior Management Level Operations position within a similar industry is essential. You will have a solid understanding of MIS Reporting, ISO Compliance and Strategic Planning. Applicants MUST be proactive, ambitious, energetic and self motivated. You should have a strong character and have a vision of future success for the company. The ability to successfully manage a team, whilst improving production and profitability is required. |
