Employment: Full Time

Our client is an international law firm concentrating in global business. The firm operates in 37 of the worlds 50 largest economies. Delivering solutions and creating opportunities, this is an innovative law firm, providing legal services to public and private institutions, operating in critical sectors of the global economy. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join this firm, where geographic, political and practice-driven barriers have been removed.
They are currently looking to recruit a Western Legal Secretary for their real estate practice in Dubai.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Updating clients regarding their cases
- Preparing legal proposals, retainer agreements and POAs as per the templates and standards set by the Firm
- Assisting lawyers in their day to day emails, correspondences
- Following up with the lawyers on pending emails, correspondences and making sure that clients get their responses on time and in accurate format
- Sending all correspondence and quires regarding the Client Matters/Transactions as per the lawyers request
- Sending the relevant cases documents submitted by the Firm to the concerned client
- Attending to the telephone calls on behalf of the lawyers of the department and performing the necessary action required i.e. either replying to the clients queries or then forwarding the message to the concerned lawyer
- Coordinating with relevant business support departments internally for the payments and various other transaction
- Scheduling meetings for all the lawyers and accordingly organizing their calendars
- Preparing Minutes of Meetings as and when requested
- Typing legal notices and pleadings when needed
- Maintaining client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential
- Provides historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems; recording meeting discussions; maintaining transcripts; documenting and maintaining evidence
- Assisting other lawyers and the reception team in the event of other department secretaries are on leave / absent.

Requirements

The suitable candidate will have previous experience working for an International Law Firm/or professional services company for a minimum of 2 years. You will have the ability to work on own initiative & prioritize work in view of tight deadlines and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

You must also have experience in working within a busy environment and be able to work under pressure and fulfill various tasks simultaneously.
