Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Assignments usually include one or more of the following: water, wastewater or surface wayeter network modelling, calculations, preparation of plans and specifications, process study, research investigations, report preparation, and other activities of limited scope requiring knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed by a Wet Services Engineer.
- Independently prepares design calculations or reports.
- Researches and ensures assignments meet building codes, regulatory and industry codes, laws and requirements, as well as client requirements.
- Determines the permitting requirements for the particular type of work being designed for the location in which it is to be constructed.
- As a fully competent engineer in all conventional aspects of the subject matter of the functional areas of the assignment, plans and conducts work requiring judging in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.
- Proficient with design software, models, etc. Bentley WaterCAD, SewerGEMS and StormCAD essential.
- Basic knowledge of types of code and permit requirements for the Gulf or Bahrain.
- Basic knowledge of the installation and construction techniques required in the field and the potential obstacles that may be encountered.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or appropriate discipline
- Registration and designation as a Professional Engineer (PE) may be required to enable assignment flexibility.
- Minimum five years of relevant experience.
- Fully conversant with Water and Wastewater design software
- B Sc in Civil Engineering, Chartered Civil Engineer or in process of obtaining Chateredship.
- Higher qualifications will be preferred.
