Job description / Role
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Planning and installing including servers, Storage devices, and backup devices.
Ensure that all software`s installed on company desktop/laptop PC`s are licensed.
Coordinate with Internet Service Provider and ensure optimal service and uptime.
Support & Manage Windows Active Directory services, MS Exchange, MS SharePoint and related networking software and ensure optimal operation
Managing servers & other related hardware / software spread across all sites in Middle East.
Prepare monthly systems uptime report, including hardware, software.
Sorting out network connection and network related issues for users.
Maintain an IT register of all IT equipments issued to the users.
Liaise with external suppliers & IT vendors for the repair of equipment under warranty or maintenance contract;
Minimize systems down time and maintain updated backup to enhance the availability and reliability of operations;
Follow all appropriate maintenance procedures and instructions and ensure that upon completion of the maintenance task is in compliance with the required requirements.
Maintain servers, workstations, computer rack, power supplies, UPS, computer peripheral equipment, scanners, printers, whiteboards, projectors; ensure that these are prepared and ready to be used.
Carry out all level of preventive and corrective maintenance activities, daily routine duties, technical support on IT systems in an efficient and timely manner;
Managing all the Data centre facilities and complying with the agreed standards.
Ensure all licensing requirements are accurately modified, updated and complied with.
Ensure all data backed up and tested.
Working closely with Serco group on all Licensing compliance and other global projects.
Employee transfer to other contracts/locations/desk (IP settings; profile copying when computer changes).
Safety Responsibilities
Follow all relevant operations and maintenance plans, ,procedures, and instructions to carry out the IT maintenance activities in a method that will not cause harm to our customers, your colleagues or yourself - either by your acts or your failure to act.;
Follow safe working procedures for oneself, ensure appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) are used correctly, fit for purpose, and look out for the safety of others;
Consider and evaluate safety issues in relation to all IT maintenance activities, including software configuration, equipment modifications and new works;
Promote safety awareness among maintenance teams and any subcontractors;
Attend all safety related training courses or refresher training courses as required.
Requirements
Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent degree.
Minimum 3 years, preferably 5 years, work experience in MS Exchange mail system including operating systems and application platforms, networking, IT security, system analysis, business application development, email services, and help-desk support.
MCSE/MCSA 2008 or equivalent related network/systems management qualification
Hands on experience in implementing windows architecture that includes active directory, DNS, DHCP and Group policies.
Managing medium to large scale industry system using centrally deployed tools like MS SCOM, SCCM etc.
Advance troubleshooting in MS Exchange 2010 with all its features like active sync, OWA, CAS, HUB, EDGE, DAG etc.
Experience in managing Data backup software`s & Anti-Virus software`s.
Experience in managing Blade systems, SAN, EVA & Tape autoloaders.
Supporting mixed environment of two or more mail system coexisting.
Experience in managing MS SQL & MySQL servers & databases.
Supervise IT projects with technology vendors.
Experience in designing of networks from scratch and the rapid deployment and installation of components.
Experience in IT administration and management, operational procedures, technical specifications, disaster recovery plans, system backup schedules and safety and quality plans.
Good knowledge of Basic Windows scripting tools.
Good understanding of Cloud computing.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions;
Ability to continually seek opportunities to increase internal client satisfaction and deepen client relationship
Good knowledge of managing MS Office SharePoint Server 2007/2010 and Windows SharePoint Services - Optional
Valid UAE Driving license.
