Wintel Team Leader

Job description / Role

The Company:
Our client is a leading Financial organization based in the GCC. They are looking to recruit a Wintel Team Leader.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading a team for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.
Lead in the administration of the Wintel production systems infrastructure, network and applications.
Install, configure and troubleshoot the Wintel servers in both the production and UAT environments.
Set up and administration of DNS, DHCP, and work with the Systems Security team around any other protocol configuration and administration as may be required on the Wintel infrastructure.
Administrate Active Directory environment and troubleshoots problems with IIS based web services and cloud based mail services.
Manage daily back up procedures of the Wintel infrastructure and participate in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans and set up.
Ensure that all IT equipments are tagged and updated on the asset inventory system.
Work closely with Change Management to ensure that all changes are logged and carried out as planned.
Ensure the development of the teams competency in accordance to the department requirements.
Manage and initiate the communication with other Team Leaders in Managed Services and Project Managers in Technology Services with regards to running projects and open tasks and activities.
Capture and agree business requirements and create system specifications.
Perform testing of system changes and approve or reject with appropriate descriptions.
Document daily procedures and manuals.
Explore industry best practice to IT operations and controls to be assessed by Audit function.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experiences:

Degree in computer science or computer engineering .
Minimum 5 years related work experience.
Must have experience in Windows Server 2008, 2012, Hyper-V.
Must have experience working in the environment of Windows clustering and data replication, SQL Server 2008, Terminal Services.
Excellent knowledge of DNS, DHCP, AD, VPN, TCP/IP.
Excellent knowledge of Active Directory Group Policy management and hardening
Working experience and knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Analysis Services and Reporting Services.
Working experience and knowledge of Microsoft Systems Center 2012.
Good knowledge of VDI solutions (preferably Microsoft VDI),
Good knowledge of Cloud deployment services (preferably Microsoft Azure).
