Work Force Planning Manager – Macau
Our client is one of the world’s leading construction and civils contractors operating internationally. They have several high profile projects world-wide and are even now expanding their international presence, utilising their reputation and experience in quality flagship projects to make an impact globally.
They presently have need for a highly experienced, Work Force Planning Manager to be based in Macau to join work on a prestigious $2.8Billion contract in the region. This is one of the biggest and most valuable projects in the Far East and the labour involved is huge.
Your duties will include:
• Develop a Workforce Management team to support the achievement of operational goals and performance objectives of the company
• Resource / People Planning – several thousand labour staff across an enormous project
• Liaising & planning with Senior Operations staff, consultant and client to ensure staffing requirements are aligned to deliver project
• Build robust contingency plans to ensure risks are mitigated, by the sharing of skills and specialist knowledge
• Effectively manage and develop the performance, talent and future capability of your direct reports
Requirements
Prerequisites for the position include:
• Experience with blue chip contractors managing the work force planning function on major construction projects (Ideally $1 Billion+ in value)
• Previous planning management experience is essential
• Strong relationship management skills
• Proven ability to build a high performing team
• Strong influencing, negotiating & networking skills – experience of building relationships with third parties and parents, to influence beyond direct authority as part of outsourced business model
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in similar roles
• Degree qualification is preferred
• Must be technically competent; analytical and management skills
