Employment: Full Time

A Working Capital Coordinator is required to support the Working Capital team in the smooth running of the department in processing a large volume billings for the Middle East offices You will be required to take responsibility in the collection of funds from their own key clients and be competent in reporting to senior management on reports.

Your responsibilities will include assisting the Working Capital team and secretaries in relation to the production of bills for the Middle East offices across all practice areas. These may be of high complexity with time breakdowns, and in differing formats in accordance with client billing arrangements. The suitable candidate must be able to work within tight deadlines and under pressure.

They will be required to assist instigation of regular monthly, quarterly and annual billings process and ensuring that bill narratives are provided by lawyers and fees approved in accordance with client arrangements. You will edit bills with regards to rates, recalculations and discounts. This will also involve maintaining client agreements and discount arrangements and keeping up to date records.

You will be expected to chase Lawyers/Partners to ensure early return of approved billing draft/guides bills with narratives provided by lawyers to ensure billing targets are met.

You will also be expected to assist the Working Capital team in collection of unpaid bills, provide statements of accounts to Partners and clients when necessary, carry out general administration including assisting in maintaining billing records and any adhoc tasks that may be required throughout the month.

You will also be required to know of any receipting daily payments into the firm's bank accounts for both offices. You will also be required to chase held and missing timesheets on a regular basis. To add to this you would be be required to check your own work, not only to make sure that it is of a high standard and meets with exacting requirements of clients, Partners, lawyers, and other finance staff but also to draw to their attention any problems.

Requirements

The suitable candidate will be bright, highly motivated, adaptable and a proactive self-starter, accustomed to working in a very busy environment.

Previous work experience in a finance department is essential and high volume bill processing will be an advantage.

Inter-personal skills are vitally important, as working very closely with the firm's finance team, Partners, and lawyers is an integral part of the role. You will be influential and confident. They will also have the ability to adapt your communication style appropriately.

Computer skills include, to be proficient in Excel spreadsheets and have a knowledge of word.
