ABOUT CLIENT :
An exciting opportunity with an established leading Middle East based National Oil Company, that functions throughout offshore development sites as well as in the shallow coastal waters with a number of productive oil fields.
JOB PURPOSE ANS SCOPE:
The Workshop Engineer is responsible for taking full ownership of Workshop assets/equipment and the associated performance of these items. Workshop maintenance teams provide a full range of maintenance services to Area Maintenance Crews, such as Fabrication, Machining, Valve Overhauling and Mobile Equipment maintenance.
The Workshop Engineer reports to Workshop & Static Equipment Section Head.
Principal Accountabilities:
To review on going workshop maintenance and repair projects and provide engineering support for their completion.
To schedule daily workload and generates work schedule plans.
To prepare requisitions for the issue of correct materials, tools and safety equipment.
To raise direct charge PR/PFS for non-stock items and service PR for the repairable items.
To coordinate issue of equipment with Material Management Department, to ensure required stock availability.
To compile/provide input for preparation of division/department Capital and Operating budgets and monitor annual expenditure budgets.
To conduct work safety awareness programs for company and contract subordinates.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum 7 years of professional experience in oil & gas industry
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required
Additional Requirements:
1. Complies with all company Health, Safety and Environment as well as Work Permit, policies and procedures.
2. Trains and develops the assigned staff with emphasis to UAE Nationals
