Workshop Foreman – DOMASCO

Job description / Role

Doha Marketing Services Company W.L.L. (DOMASCO), an overseas joint venture of the reputable UAE-based Al Futtaim Group, has been operating business in Qatar for 15 years and has sole distribution rights for Honda, Volvo cars and trucks, reputed brands of watches and electronics such as Raymond Weil, Casio and Sanyo as well as Yanmar marine engines in the country.Leads and supervise technical staff in carrying out quality diagnosis and repair work, within stipulated time as per company guidelines and objectives.

Supervise/carry out works as instructed on job card:

* Ensure all service and repair work is carried out correctly as per technical guidelines
* Recommend improved procedures for quicker and accurate work
* Work with technical staff on diagnosis and recommend repairs

Issue work to technical staff:

* Ensure workshop is loaded in the most effective way to ensure work is completed on time
* If work is delayed, to inform superior immediately giving enough time to inform customers

Collect feedback to principals for product improvement

* Collect and present technical information for feedback to principals for product improvement

Dealing with customers:

* Explain to customers technical meanings to ensure understanding and trust is maintained

Time Booking

* Ensure time booked on job card is as per guidelines set by the company.
* Ensure all time tickets are submitted at end of working day.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge
Minimum 3 years experience as a qualified Technician/Quality Control in relevant field.

Job-Specific Skills:
Must have excellent working knowledge with workshop equipment.
It and Computer literate.
Oral and written English.
