Workshop Manager - Al Futtaim Auto Centres

Job description / Role

We are looking to recruit a Workshop Manager in order to join the ERAS team of Al Futtaim Auto Centres, located in Dubai.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the main purpose of this role is to supervise a small team of Body and Mechanical Technicians for the daily operation of a Morgan Aftersales Department. Additionally, the supervision of the restoration of classic vehicles through all stages of the repair, to ensure that technicians work efficiently with stringent quality controls at each repair stage.This section will also be responsible for special projects on new vehicle upgrades and accessories.

The main responsibilities of the role are as follows: to plan, organize and control the flow of Workshop work; to ensure quality repairs; to ensure work orders as stated in job cards are completed by the assigned technicians; ensure Workshop team members meet / exceed customer satisfaction; to ensure the highest possible level of service quality and customer services; maximize the labour efficiency and workshop profitability of the team in line with agreed budgets and company operating standards; to be responsible for work allocation, job card completion and dealing with all technical queries; ensure that the company's Occupational Health & Safety Standards are well established and met in the department at all times; to ensure the safe, efficient and proper use of tools, equipment, paint and materials in order to reduce direct costs.

Requirements

- Qualified to City and Guilds level or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in technical mechanical role with good all round capabilities.
- Previous experience in vehicle restoration, classic cars and associated project management, will also possess sound technical knowledge for fault finding.
- Ideal candidate would have previous workshop / project management experience and / or is a qualified master technician and is keen to progress into a management role.
- Must communicate in oral and written English.
