Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The candidates role should manage the preventive maintenance program of every piece of equipment owned by the organisation throughout the GCC like maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, machines, pumps, tools and light equipment vehicles.

- Ensure that at all times the yards meet the highest standards of health & safety;
Clean & tidy
- Working areas clearly identified with appropriate barriers and signage.
- Storage of equipment is neat, safe and clearly identified.
- Ensure that appropriate welfare facilities (toilets, restrooms, eating areas) are provided and maintained.
- The yards are secure and signed appropriately
- Identify minimum standards for key items of plant (eg V Notch tanks, MAC Cabins, Drilling Rigs, Diesel Pumps).
- Ensure all items are checked and meet minimum standard before despatch from the yard.
- Ensure an adequate stock of key items and spare parts is maintained at all times.
- Working with, or deputising for the Operations Manager, establish work schedules for yard based staff (Electricians & mechanics)
- Establish and implement appropriate methods of recording & auditing plant servicing, deliveries, despatches, and equipment returned from sites
- Supervise stocktakes and act as custodian of all assets across the yard
- Request materials for WJs Plant and Equipments.
- Effective co-ordination of the plant maintenance schedule.
- Arrange transport of plant and equipment
- Liaise with the Operations Manager and assist in the management of the yard and workshop facilities.
- Ensure the Equipment is consistently presented to a high level to promote a professional image to the Customer.

Quality Management Process Owner / Department Head:

The board of WJ Groundwater Limited is committed to the implementation and certification of a Quality Management System to ISO9001.

The post holder will:

- Act as a single point of contact for the plant maintenance, purchase, deliveries and yard functions representing WJ.
- Responsible for providing administrative and resource support for the maintenance of the management system for your respective process and providing all information to the
- Management Representative.
- Review and approve the reports for your respective process as per requirements.
- Define quality procedures in conjunction with operational staff, bringing together staff of different disciplines and driving the group forward to formulate, agree and implement comprehensive procedures, set objectives and ensuring targets are achieved.
- Persuade reluctant staff to change their way of working to incorporate quality methods
- Liaise with the company auditors and ensure execution of corrective actions and coordinating with the delegated representative in organizing, participating, resolving all audit finding issues for your respective process.

Requirements

- Successful applicants will ideally have a degree in Mechanical Engineering albeit not essential.
- Preferably with essential knowledge in pumps and electromechanical works. The role is based in Qatar but travel around the GCC will be required.
- A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
