Job description / Role
• Create, deliver and manage a portfolio of value added engineering solutions based on world class standards of quality and service within a multi-dimensional complex, performance driven business unit.
• Responsible for all aspects of the day to day operational management of the engineering workshop facilities and personnel to ensure the optimisation of all resources in a efficient, sustained and profitable manner.
• Implementation and the coordination of all engineering work in conformance with the requirements and specifications of the contracts, scopes of work and in accordance with the projects schedule.
• Build strong senior level influencing relationships with all internal and external partner organisations and create mutually trusting and rewarding relationships for both the partners of Oryx and clients.
• Build strong senior level influencing relationships with existing and new target clients for the delivery of value added services and products and the development of further opportunities within the initial assignment.
• Identify new opportunities through the collation, analysis and sharing of intelligence of developments within the market place such as information on potential projects, competitor activity and new technologies.
• Responsible for the establishment of productivity objectives in coordination with the Company's business plan and for providing an Operations Plan to provide quarterly updates, revisions and modifications to the plan.
• Management of the supply chain operation including strategic procurement, logistics, warehousing and materials management.
Requirements
Degree Graduate in an engineering discipline or equivalent preferably with additional post university qualifications with an impressive record of success in dynamic, solutions driven engineering workshop operational management. Must have a minimum of 15 years progressive and demonstrable experience in engineering service workshop operational management and a minimum of 5 years in the oil and gas energy sector. A recognised safety qualification would be an advantage. Must be a proven leader and business developer who is proficient in project management software and all MS Office applications.
