Workshop Supervisor - Al Futtaim Auto Centre - Sharjah

Al-Futtaim is regarded as a pioneer in the Gulf region's Automotive industry and encompasses every aspect of the Automotive business; from passenger and commercial vehicles and construction equipment sales and service, to used car sales and rental and leasing.

Al Futtaim Auto Center (ALAC) is part of the Al Futtaim's Automotive Division. ALAC has six divisions comprising of Body Centers - Toyota & Lexus within UAE, Fast Repair, Customs & Classics, Auto Equip, Tyre Zone and Fastfit. ALAC offers end to end solutions in aftersales for both business to business & retail customers.

We are currently looking for an experienced Workshop Supervisor to be part of our Bodyshop team in Sharjah.

The job responsibilities are as follows:

* Ensure full and accurate communication to workshop, parts, reception, and quality control.
* Ensure all materials and labour resources used are posted to each and every job card.
* All warranty job cards are cleared to National Service Department (NSD) in a timely manner.
* Maintain up-to-date progress on each and every vehicle under maintenance / repair.
* Ensure Technicians' optimum productivity
* Issue jobs to available technicians who have the required skill level.
* Issue work in the order to achieve promised times. Notify Reception to amend promised times where inaccurate, additional work is authorized, parts delays, technical difficulties and ensure committed delivery times are met.
* Communicate any and all changes that affect a vehicle to the concerned person / department e.g. completion time, parts shortage, extra work, warranty refusal, damage found, delayed diagnosis etc.
* Accurately and timely post all resources to the job card in SAP including labour, oils, paint, AC gas, bought out materials and sub-let work.
* Accurately and timely check warranty job cards to ensure fault codes and repair descriptions are accurately added to job cards and the job card cleared through to NSD for claiming.
* Maintain system ethics. Monitoring to ensure SAP transactions, teco release, proforma deletions have proper justification and are not misused.
* Monitor technicians' performance, productivity and efficiencies on daily and weekly basis.
* Keep track of standard times, feedback to management if the same found missing in manuals or system (SAP)

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:

* Must have a Diploma/Degree in a Mechanical field
* Must have 3-4 years of working experience as a Workshop Controller
* Must be able to multi-task and properly delegate
* Must have exceptional organizational skills
* Must have exceptional time management skills
* Must be proficient in MS Office
* Capable of using ERP system to generate management and daily /monthly workshop reports
* SAP user skills are an advantage and highly preferred
