Employment: Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

Utilizes the Nursing Process to identify special wound categories and explores wound management strategies to facilitate optimal wound healing. Implements Wound Care Protocols corporate wide to prevent wounds and provide wound care to high-risk patients.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Minimum 3 years Nursing Diploma after High school
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred)
Experience: Three (3) years Clinical experience Acute Care facility
Background in Wound Care (preferred)

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION / LICENSURE: Valid Nursing License from Country of Origin (ILS, PLS)

Personal Protective Equipment: Personal protective equipment is required for this position only when providing direct patient care.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires standing, sitting, walking, and talking for undetermined periods of time. The individual can reasonably be expected to bend, stoop, reach, turn, and carry certain amount of weight 50 % of the time.

WORKING CONDITIONS
This individual spends 95 % of her/his time in patient care areas. The potential for exposure to bio hazardous agents or exposure to blood-borne pathogens and other potential infectious agents is moderate. This position requires contact with patients and staff under a wide variety of circumstances.
