Yard Supervisor

Job description / Role

- Oversee the plant housekeeping & mobile equipment operations within budget and recommend to the Head of Production for further improvement of the yard system.
- Accountable for overall yard operations at the Plant for smooth functioning of mobile equipment.
- Prepare monthly expense report.
- Coordinate and Collate time sheets of all contractors to handover to HR for Monthly Payroll.
- Coordinate with Head Of Production for preparation and execution of the Budget for Labours & Mobile Equipment in the Plant to ensure operations and expenses are within the budget.
- Conduct periodic meetings with all labourers to communicate plant requirements/targets /assess & communicate the performance & resolve their issues and provide them with regular updates on new safety guidelines & regulations implemented by the company.
- Organise and supervise the activities of the team to ensure work is carried out efficiently.
- Ensure that all safety, environmental procedures are adhered to by the Subcontractors through periodical training.

Reports to: Production Manager
Supervises: Production Coordinator/ production Supervisor/ Yard Supervisor

Internal Contacts:
- Finance for monthly accruals of mobile equipment
- HR for Training, timesheets, Recruitment
- Logistics for hiring of extra equipment during emergencies
- Procurement for sale of scrap materials(Bi annually)
- Safety for new safety updates, training of subcontractors
- Head of Production and subordinates on daily basis for updates & reports

External Contacts:
- Mobile Equipment & Manpower Contractors for coordination of manpower / payment / safety training

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree or diploma.
- 5 - 10 years of experience in the Cement industry.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent time management, planning and organization skills
- Proven supervisory skills.
- Be a leader in Health and Safety.
