eCommerce Officer - Kuwait - Design

eCommerce is an exciting new support function within Alshaya as the business launches transactional websites for a number of the 70+ brands and 19 countries within the Alshaya portfolio. The function is rapidly building Alshaya's multi-channel capability to deliver customers' choice and convenience when shopping in a number of rapidly growing online emerging markets. The function is split in to 4 key areas - Trading & Merchandising, Operations & Program Management, Design & Content and Digital Marketing.

The Role:
Working within the central eCommerce division you will be working as part of the user experience design team to execute interaction and visual design of eCommerce websites.

Responsibilities include:
* Execute interaction and visual design as part of a multi-disciplinary team
* Translate business and user requirements into interaction and visual design deliverables (user flows, wireframes, visual design mock-ups, concepts)
* Collaborate with brand-specific design teams
* Work to tight timelines
* Create and maintain excellent internal and external working relationships
* Keep up to date with interaction and other design trends

Requirements

* Educated to university degree level
* Past working experience in design of user experience for software, Web applications, mobile
* Strong working knowledge of web design applications for user flows, wireframes, visual design, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Ominigraffle etc.
* Basic knowledge of web development using HTML 5, CSS, and JavaScript/JQuery
* Knowledge of CMS systems is a plus (preferably Magento)
* Previous work with Google Analytics is a plus
* Previous experience working within an ecommerce business support function (or within online shopping/retail) is an advantage
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
