The Manager - Indirect Tax and Project Delivery will be responsible for:
- Indirect Tax Management across core focuses of Planning, Compliance, Reporting and Audit activities for company'sGlobal operations.
- Overseeing the delivery of selected, complex projects to time, budget, and specification.
Furthermore they will continue to build the presence of EY Tax Department with internal and external stakeholders, and will need to identify and quantify sources of tax opportunity and risk within the EY Business.
- Takes responsibility for ensuring all Indirect Tax reporting requirements are met in accordance with local country requirements, and implementing opportunities for improved Indirect Tax Reporting
- Management of Tax Change, Risk and Quality initiatives and projects across the EY Business and Group
- Act as a key point of contact and advice for all indirect tax issues across the business, and proactively identify and implement opportunities for improving the Group's overall VAT Liability and cash flow
Requirements
- Degree Level Mandatory
- Masters Level or Above Preferred
- ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or equivalent / Legal or project management training an advantage
- 5 year minimum VAT experience (2-3 years working in an international taxation environment)
- Successfully managed concurrent large Tax Audits
- Knowledge of customs duty and excise (especially fuel excise)
- Systems process mapping and implementation
- Excellent knowledge of financial accounting systems & its applications (e.g. Oracle/ SAP R3, etc.) and supporting interfaces (e.g. Sabre, Revenue Accounting systems, AirVision, etc)
- Sarbanes Oxley 404, internal control environment
Desirable:
- Big 4 Trained with Legal/project management background an advantage
- High level of proficiency with other business related taxes
- Experience and interaction with Government Bodies driving and setting taxation policy, and working with Industry groups lobbying for taxation changes
