Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Administration & General
•Manage the process for UAE/Regional employment and residency visa/permit applications for all employees of Fosroc Group relating to Gulf and Middle East
•Manage new employee starter process and employee Induction
•Manage employee exit clearance procedure, exit Interviews and EOS calculations
•Manage and coordinate medical Insurance and Life Insurance
•Manage personnel files, including regional and OPCO-based employees

Recruitment
•Manage the recruitment process for Gulf and Middle East entities, ensuring that job descriptions, competencies and person specifications are prepared
•Manage recruitment administration, negotiating agreements with recruitment agencies, ensuring smooth interview process for both candidate and company
•Create relationships and best value contacts with Employment Agents to ensure timely and efficient selection of candidates
•Work closely with Managers to ensure a robust interview process
•Monitor equal opportunities and ensure fair selection both internally and externally
•Comply with legislation concerning recruitment and selection
•Maintain appropriate records and interview notes

Employee Relations
•Advise client base regarding risks to company relating to employee claims with the Labour Ministry, ensure the company is protected and advised at all times against any potential claims
•Compliance with local legislation, ensure that all policies and procedures reflect current employee rights
•Assist managers in dispute resolution
•Support managers in managing performance.
Compensation & Benefits
•Monitor market rates for pay and benefits making timely recommendations to VP and GM's
•Research and understand key cultural differences in reward motivation and input to wider reward strategy
•Monitor and support flexible reward systems e.g. bonus/commission payments

Learning & Development
•Support and coach Managers in the use of the Performance Appraisal Process
•Working with clients create Training Needs Analysis from Performance Appraisal Process
•Provide specific support to Succession Pool candidates and their development plans
•Working with Group HR to devise, design and deliver training as appropriate
•Monitor and update the recording of training
•Participate in Learning and Development Projects
•Create local networks to provide training solution

Legal and Procedural
•Provide current legal advice to GM's, using qualified legal advisors where appropriate.
•Monitor and update policies etc in line with changing local legislation
•Create links from Group policies to local interpretation
•Monitor and update contracts of employment
•Monitor the standard of input to the HRIS
•Provide VP and GM with HR KPI data from the system and provide meaningful commentary

HR Projects
•Lead and/or participate in Global HR projects
•Assist and coordinate ERP Project Phoenix with Human Resources Core Team Leader.
•Consolidate and analyse Global HR data for monthly reporting

HSE
•Suggest and implement relevant Health & Safety provisions, negotiating with external suppliers and internal resources, to plan and implement training plans

Requirements

ESSENTIAL
Education
First degree
Relevant HR qualification
MBA or MA in Human Resources

Skills
Fluency in verbal/written English language
Fluency in verbal and written Arabic language
Influence and negotiation skills
Ability to develop a strong compensation and benefits structure to overcome challenges created by an ever-evolving market place
Project Management skills

Knowledge
Minimum 5 years HR experience on a managerial capacity
Experience working in a multinational company
Knowledge of UAE, Saudi and Jordan Labour Law
Middle East and Gulf regional experience International HR best practices
Working internationally outside the Middle East and Gulf
Manufacturing experience
Knowledge of Job Evaluation and Grading systems

*As one of the requirements for the post is regular travel to Saudi Arabia, male candidates are required for this post.
