The Role
The Role
Basic Function
Performs the tactical planning of engineering projects in all disciplines: reservoir development, construction, gas processing and special studies. Assists engineers in obtaining a consolidated operational plan and develops a comprehensive programme for the activities specified in the
operational plan.
Function & Responsibilities
1. Identify and review periodically the project planning cycle and co-ordinate the planning
process.
2. Identify cost reduction project and develop detailed schedules for implementation co-ordinating with department concerned.
3. Formulates an "early warning system" which alerts Management of deviations from the operational and strategic plans.
4. Rev;ews and updates tactical plans in the light of actual results and identify trends.
5. Co-ordinates with project analyst in performing economic evaluations.
6. Assists engineers in obtaining different alternatives to the original plan and in prioritizing projects using consistent evaluation parameters and within the constraints set by management.
7. Provides assistance in training junior staff members in evaluation and analytical techniques.
8. Performs engineering studies and carries out special assignment requested by the Supervisor.
9. Provides assistance in the preparation of annual reports

Education and Experience Prerequisites
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering with minimum of 12 years diversified experience in the oil industry engineering work, including 2 years in design and economic evaluations.

Zueitina Oil Company was established in 1986 as a Libyan incorporated company to carry out the whole oil operations which was started by Occidental International back in 1966, and had been nationalized in 1986.
The mandate of Zueitina Oil Company is to efficiently produce Crude Oil, Natural Gas and Condensates at a minimum cost, with an optimum recovery, and with a great emphasis being placed on environmental and reservoir protection.
The Company is currently handling up to 20% of the country's Oil and Condensate exports.
