The RoleThe RoleThe Country Manager for Egypt, based in Cairo, will manage a range of prestigious property projects. You will be working for one of the region’s most dynamic and innovative property management companies who boast some of the Gulf’s finest, largest and most ambitious real estate projects. This is an opportunity to oversee the property and facilities management of a mixed portfolio including luxury residential villas, celebrated sports and leisure complexes and other commercial building investments. Role/Responsibilities: The Country Manager will have a varied schedule of executive duties - You will: *Conduct regular site and property visits and both maintain and continuously improve the quality management systems. *Ensure that compound and residential managers maintain accurate and comprehensive records to include, O & M manuals, as-built plans, guarantees and warrantees. *Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety procedures and statutory requirements in force, and ensure adequate insurance cover is in place for all buildings and residential compounds. *Assist the Business Development Manager in both generating and driving business development, including attending exhibitions and seminars, giving presentations, and interfacing with all regional and local business entities. *Ensure show houses in residential compounds or vacant offices, are ready and in excellent condition to show to prospective tenants. *Deal effectively with building project enquiries and meet with prospective clients to discuss their needs. · Liaise with Head Office Property Management personnel, regarding security, letting, and promotions. Additionally, provide monthly accounting reports etc. Oversee 4 – 10 personnel. The remuneration package comprises: Salary: approx.£40,000 tax free/approx.£70,000 gross, equivalent + benefits: Annual service bonus. Housing: to£12,000 tax-free. Car allowance: to £500 per month. School Fees: to £4,000 per child (2 max) per year being educated in Egypt. Medical Insurance. Travel: Ticket - Cairo/London/Cairo economy class once per year. Annual Leave: 30 days. RequirementsRequirementsAs an experienced Senior Property Manager, the Country Manager will have several years' buildings and property experience, preferably 10 years, of running similar commercial construction projects and/or real estate and have taken full operational and commercial responsibility. You should have worked with European companies and you will be a personable team leader with management expertise. Your experience may be from a property/real estate background, or you may have a 'construction' slant, or facilities management experience. You will be pro-active and professional, with the confidence to present to clients and interact with the site communities. |
