The Role
The Role
Preparing & checking the monthly Balance Sheet
Checking the monthly & quarterly BMA reports before submitting
Reconciling the Accounting capital markets P&L against the MAM P&L
Ensuring that reconciliation of Nostro accounts are done on daily bases.
Making sure all Debtors, Creditors, Suspense and Transit accounts are subject to regular and documented follow-up and that balances are regularly justified.
Maintaining the Fixed Assets record and book keeping records
Controlling the bank's cheque books
Validating manual entries relating to administration expenses and signing cheques.
Assist and co-operate with the internal,external auditors and inspectors from CBB and internal audit teams in carrying out their duties.
Authorize payments & messages by SWIFT (Back up only)
Control the security & manage the use of Test Keys
Holder of the Bank's safe combination number
Ensure that all documents relating to opening new accounts are available and conforming with internal rules
Responding to customers audit letters and issuing audit letter requests.
Attending & responding to all matters assigned by COO
Providing assistance to the COO & business lines for NAP analyses upon request
Co-ordinating the writing of procedures of the finance department
Provide and arrange adequate training for the finance department staff.

Requirements
Graduation in Accounting.
5-6 years experience in a Bank. This role is for a bank based in Manama Bahrain, specifically looking for Bahraini Nationals, some one with experience in accounting and bank finance.
