The Role


Out client is a leading regional Bank in Bahrain.

Role Description:

- Planning: Contribute to preparation of overall strategy and annual plan for internal audit department and provide budget plan for own section.

- Prepare audit programs, compliance reports and internal audit activity reports. Prepare Field Audit programs for Financial & Operations audits based on the system of Value-for-Money audits ensuring coverage of all operational areas.

- Responsibility for the entire Financial & Operations audit function of the bank including planning & managing the audits of the bank's departments and functions within various divisions .

- Perform regular management, compliance and follow-up audits to ensure that the system of controls is in place and ascertain the level of compliance with prior audit findings, recommendations and statutory / regulatory norms.

- Organize pre and post audit meetings to discuss scope of audits and areas of concern. Conduct special audits and if applicable risk asset review for investigation of problem areas or for certain specific reasons.

- Monitor action on own as well as external auditors and regulatory authorities recommendations to ensure effective implementation.

- Monitor post-audit follow-up of the audit reports and ensure compliance with recommendations.

- Special Investigations: Conduct special investigations as required

- Team Supervision : Guide, motivate, train and direct team to perform effectively and work to their best potential

Requirements


Requirements


- Pertaining to Financial & Operations audits with at least 5 years of supervisory exposure to the function.

- University Degree in Finance. * Professional qualification such asCMA/CPA/CIA/CA/ACCA/CISA.

- Adequate legal background. Planning, organizing and analytical ability. Proficiency in risk concepts, banking operations/systems and regulatory requirements.
