The RoleThe RoleRequirements My client is looking for Senior IT Network Engineers. The role involves design and planning of high availability and scalable state-of-the-art cable distributions systems, The position is for senior design engineers to join their design office in Muscat. The preferred candidate has experience with airports or large scale IT network projects designed to TIA, CENELEC, ISO and/or BICSI recommendations. It is also an advantage if the candidates have working experience from the Middle East region or Asia. The ideal candidate does have up-to-date knowledge of planning, design and specification of one or more of the following topics: Dense PDS based local area networks (structured cabling systems) Large fibre optical based wide area networks in Middle East environment IT cable design in Data Centres (Service Provider size) Extensive test of fibre optical solutions as well as structured cabling Documentation of structured cabling systems |
RequirementsRequirementsQualifications You must have a M.SC or B.SC from a recognised university and minimum 5 years documented experience with design of large scale fibre optical and structured cabling distribution systems. Alternatively you can hold specialist certifications, i.e. manufacture certification program, BICSI/RCDD or equivalent. Must be able to communicate fluently in written and spoken English and be prepared to take up residence in Oman and work for a period of time. |
