The Role
Responsible for Preparation and Execution of software Unit / Integration Testing Plans as per the development and delivery schedules
Ensure that Quality Management procedures are set and followed during the software design and development process
Monitor, Coordinate and Report progress of testing activities as per the testing schedule
Ensure timely completion of application testing and quality assurance tasks assigned to the testing teams
Ensure that faults, bugs, and defects are recorded, tracked, and resolved on time while maintaining a complete history of the defect resolution
Maintain effective communication with the software design and development teams to ensure Testing and QA plans are in line with the development schedule and to ensure that processes are effectively implemented
Identifying weaknesses and gaps in the current Software Engineering / Testing process and suggest process improvements

Requirements
Requirements
Experience of 8+ years in software development, preferably in development of banking solutions, Should have worked in Software Quality Management function with a reputed CMMI certified IT Organization for a minimum of 3 years.
Should have a complete knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle, Test Life Cycle & Test Management
Must have a sound understanding of CMMI framework and Processes
Must have proven experience in quality management and testing of Web / Client Server applications under a multi-tier architecture, developed on .NET, C#, Java, SOA, GUI, Oracle / Sybase Database
Certifications such as Six Sigma, PMP, ITIL would be an added advantage
Must be a structured, proactive and accountability oriented person with exceptional communication and people skills
Must be self motivated, very organized and excellent team player. WIth strong organizational and reporting skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail and a commitment to high quality standards
Must have experience with automation of software testing and QA tools such as Rational.
