The Role


The Role

Our Client is an internationally recognized Dubai based group of companies, whose vision and pioneering concepts has changed the face of shopping, entertainment and leisure in the Middle East.

Reporting to the VP- Divisional Asset Management, you will be responsible for the profitable operations of a shopping mall in a mix use complex consisting of two level shopping centre with over 126,000 sq m of retail space, cinemas, two hotels, a family entertainment centre and a 15,000 square meter covered Water Park by setting the highest standards of Mall Management.

You will be responsible for preparing for approval the annual business plan for the Complex and once approved deliver the agreed targets, monitoring performance monthly and developing where relevant the appropriate action plans to correct variances, organise the day-to-day management of the Centre to achieve the highest levels of Mall Management in the Region, organise, prepare and monitor any necessary contract work, maintain excellent communications with all tenants, be aware of the terms of their leases and encourage their compliance, obtain monthly sales reports from tenants and prepare a monthly summary, through awareness of the trading performance of tenants, anticipate tenant difficulties and work with the tenants to resolve them, take responsibility for lease renewals and if appropriate lease renegotiations within the guidelines approved by the Leasing Committee, work with, as required, specialist consultants to plan the future of the Mall so that it retains it's leading position within its market place, create an educational programme for tenants to help them attain the high levels of retailing required by the Mall customers, oversee a marketing and promotional programme designed to support tenants and attract customers, oversee the mall promotions and media function to ensure maximum revenue is obtained from non-traditional sources, coordinate with Retail Delivery tenant design criteria to maximize the quality of store finishes compatible with the finishes in the Shopping Centre, oversee the administrative function of the Shopping Centre, review expenses to achieve cost saving measures, investigate methods to maximize revenue, aiming to achieve the highest levels of Mall Management and be responsible to integrate all areas of the centre to create a complex.

Requirements


Requirements


To qualify you will have an MBA or degree in Marketing with emphasis on Retail and Shopping Malls from a recognized institution. You will have a minimum of 15-20 years experience of managing large shopping centre. Prior experience of having opened a Mall would be a major plus.
