The RoleThe RoleLocation: Djibouti Excellent salary packages: 45K to 75K We are seeking an experienced Operation Manager to be based in Djibouti. Reporting to the General Manager, your primary role is to manage a team of 130 people dedicated to operations, manage a fleet of equipment for both container and general cargo handling. • Manage daily operations, monitor high profile accounts and ensure that high service levels and that financial targets (costs, budgets and profits) are achieved • Develop and produce timely operations reports against agreed key indicators • Work with management team to develop/review operational procedures and quality plans to ensure the operation accuracy and reliability. • Lead the teams to continuously improve work practices and ensure all functions run proactively and achieve customer's satisfaction within target cost. • Interact with customer and government officials, which include customs, tax bureau, etc. Ensure that our operation is complied with the local government requirements. • Prepare budgets and objectives and various reports. • Promote/develop day-to-day operational safety standards + issues and monitor facility security. • Successfully manage and optimize company resources to provide outstanding services • Manage our fleet of equipment, including procurement, maintenance plans and disposals in conjunction with the head of garage |
RequirementsRequirements• Min 3 years in container and general cargo handling • Must have good working knowledge of customs procedure, export and import rules • Ability to work independently and good judgment & problem solving skill with strong quality/cost control concept • Strong analytical, planning and time management skills • Good communications and interpersonal skills • English speaker and French would be a plus • Computer literate. |
