Role: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Based: Africa

Company Overview:

A young, highly successful African airline with a modern, expanding fleet is seeking to recruit an experienced airline CFO to support board level management and help take the airline through its next growth phase. Reporting to the MD and Executive Board, the challenge is to provide a first class technical and operational capability to ensure that finance provides a top quality, value enhancing service to the business.

Job description:

As CFO you will design, implement and review all systems and control processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function. You should develop excellent working relationships with major investment institutions and the banking and financial services community worldwide, with particular emphasis on fleet and aviation asset financing.

It is expected that you will act as a strong business partner supporting the Board and provide leadership in communicating to the board and senior finance team on various financial issues, as well as taking responsibility for the development of a high quality group finance team to achieve the best standards in financial reporting.

Requirements


Requirements

You should be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant airline experience at senior executive level. Ideally you will have a strong track record in the management of wider airline functions.

You should be entrepreneurial, but able to balance that with the need for a robust infrastructure and strong financial planning. You will have significant experience of capital markets, corporate finance and airline management gained in a Senior Finance capacity. You should also be able to demonstrating strong technical finance skills and have experience of leading a team to achieve "best practice" in financial management, processes and systems.

It is expected that you will have a strong personality, adaptable and resilient with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely and accurately at all levels.
