The Role


The Role


¢ Lead the heads of IT Applications, Operations and Communications and supervise the jobs carried out by the teams.
¢ Develop and maintain Policies and Procedures for providing uninterrupted IT support and services to the users in H.O. and branches. Evaluate and analyze new system requirements by assessing the need and justify based on appropriate cost-benefit analysis.
¢ Oversee the team responsible for selection of software packages by identifying the appropriate package, which meets the specific requirements of the bank.
¢ Assist in selection of hardware and other IT infrastructure components by evaluating multiple proposals and selecting the best option suitable for the bank.
¢ Manage the investment in technology and to plan, assure and control quality of work done.
¢ Manage performance and capacity, problems and incidents, data integrity, facilities, and operations to ensure continuous and trouble-free systems availability to the users in the bank.
¢ Work and liaise effectively with system vendors, end-users, Information Security and IT Audit and others to ensure achievement of required goals. At all times maintaining a professional image, guarding the banks interest & observing and promoting good professional ethics.
¢ Adhere to established bank procedures for the highest quality preparation & update of relevant technical, user & other documentation for all areas in IT.
¢ To utilize cutting edge software engineering methodology to get the best IT solution and protect from any technology and product obsolescence.
¢ To ensure overall effectiveness and reliability by validating information as being relevant and pertinent to the business process as well as being delivered in a timely, correct, consistent and usable manner.
¢ To enhance efficiency by providing information through the optimal and economical usage of resources.
¢ To manage the accuracy and completeness of information as well as to its validity in accordance with the business' set of values and expectations.
¢ To have information available when required by the business users that also involves the safeguarding of technology resources.
¢ To comply with the regulatory, internal and external audits and contractual agreements with suppliers.
¢ Maintain high standards of professionalism & appearance at all times.
¢ Pursue any other related activities as directed by superiors.

Requirements


Requirements


" Masters Degree in Computer Information Systems, MIS, Mathematics / Statistics/ Finance or equivalent.
" Technical qualifications in database management (Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, DB2), operating systems, and networking.
" Management qualifications in Project management, quality assurance, standards in documentation.
" Extensive domain knowledge in Banking / Financial Applications.
" Several years of senior level experience in developing and implementing application systems in banking environment using a standard methodology, thorough awareness of practicing SDLC (System Development Life Cycle), supervisory level experience in managing production systems and thorough awareness of IT infrastructure.
" Experience of team leadership/management skills.
