Financial Controller

Job description / Role

This client is a leading international media related company based in Dubai.

A position has arisen for a western educated hands on financial controller to take over the finance and administration function.

You will be required to:

Provide financial input to management decisions and ensure that all reporting is accurate and informative. In addition you will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and payment of the payroll, managing the accounts, customer service team, support staff, credit controller and customer service managers.

You will have responsibility to ensure compliance with all local and group tax, audit and company law requirements.

• Be self disciplined, organized and good time management skills
• Strong commercial acumen
• Adaptable - able to work without detailed rules, procedures and guidelines, comfortable in an unstructured setting
• Have a strategic mindset and P&L focus
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work with others and in a team

You must have:

• A knowledge of IFRS and local country reporting requirements
• Systems experience: ideally SAP
• Recognised Accounting Qualifications
