Our client is a leading provider of Professional Services to the energy, resource and complex process industries. In doing so we work through all five phases of an asset's lifecycle, customising our services for each sector.

Reporting to the Regional Director, you will direct and control a variety of divergent functional divisions or business activities to achieve optimum profitability and effective use of the companies' assets and human resources, within guidelines set by the Executive Directors. Direct planning activities and provide leadership and guidance on the administration and operation of the group.
You will direct the business activities of the group divisions for the achievement of short and long term business/policy objectives, increased profit or market share, establish group objectives, policies and programmes within the context of the overall organisation and, where appropriate, set standards and targets, prepare, or arrange the preparation of group consolidated budgets, reports and forecasts and ensure they are presented in a timely manner to governing bodies and/or the Executive Director, appraise the activities of the group according to overall strategies and objectives, and monitor and evaluate group performance, the efficiency of staff, administrative and operational procedures, co-ordinate staff to optimise the use of human resources to achieve goals. Consult with staff and review divisional recommendations and reports, oversee the development and implementation of group activities, to protect the funds invested, plan and review operating costs particularly with regard to labour requirements and planned business programme, direct the preparation of marketing plans, key customer strategies and ensure adequate support is provided in all divisions, direct and coordinate marketing activities to ensure the continued growth of the business, select, or approve the selection and training of senior staff and establish lines of control and delegate responsibilities to staff.

To qualify for this role you must have proven leadership ability, experienced within the project services industry including direct engineering and project management roles, a high level of competence across a wide range of skills including man-management, commercial acumen, strategic thinking and HSE leadership, the ability to work in a high pressure environment while keeping focused on the big picture and company targets/strategy, a high degree of leadership and management by example together with the ability to cope without extensive corporate support, current knowledge of the Indian market, especially Hydrocarbons (Upstream and Downstream) and Power, is required, local cultural awareness and experience with Indian culture and business practices. It is anticipated the successful incumbent to possess a level of skill commensurate with a least 12 years specialist management experience, preferably in a management role.
